On January 17th Hackensack Unit 202 participated in the city’s Back to Hack weekend event by offering members’ baked goods to the community. (l-r) Junior Member Ruby S., Maryellen M. and Patty G. offered advice to those purchasing goodies!

Lanesboro American Legion Unit 40 sponsored 6 veterans for Christmas from the Preston Veterans Home. This picture is of 3 members delivering gifts - Tammy Hallum, Kathryn Wade, Ellen Johnson.

Hutchinson Unit 96 presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Meghan’s Place in Hutchinson. Meghan’s Place is an inclusive club where youth and young adults with disabilities can grow, learn, and stay connected. Members packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child, collected donations for the county food shelf and hats & mittens for the “Mitten Drive”. The Unit also gave them small flags and flag pins and a check from our meat raffle earnings. Pictured second from (l-r) Meghan Hjerpe from Meghan’s Place, center is Donna Telecky, and right of her is Shari Zieman from Hutchinson Unit 96.

On December 6th The Hackensack American Legion Family invited the community to join them for “Wreaths for Vets” at the local veteran’s cemetery.
